About Dr. Pasternack

Dr. James Pasternack, a board-certified ophthalmologist, has dedicated over three decades to the field of ophthalmology. With extensive experience since 1988, he earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School after graduating from Stevens Institute of Technology. Dr. Pasternack honed his skills through residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital and further specialized in glaucoma during his fellowship at Tufts University – New England Medical Center.

Currently serving as an assistant professor at the University of Connecticut, Dr. Pasternack's expertise extends globally. He has generously contributed to overseas surgical eye projects, showcasing his commitment to eye care beyond borders.

Dr. Pasternack actively practices at The Eye Surgery Center, Hartford Hospital, Saint Francis Hospital, and The Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, embodying a legacy of excellence and compassion in ophthalmic care.
